Great to have you here!

What this is about

Your own website doesn't have to be expensive or complicated. You don't need a website builder that costs money every month, and you don't need WordPress with its constant updates and plugins. In this course I'll show you another way:

  1. You rent a small server on the internet (a VPS).
  2. On that server Claude Code works for you — an AI that can run commands and write files.
  3. Your website runs on ForgeCMS, a lean system that reads your texts from plain files.

You talk to Claude like a patient colleague who knows servers. You say what you want; Claude takes care of the how.

How the course is structured

  • Before we start: what ForgeCMS and Claude Code are and why they work so well together.
  • The server: renting a VPS, logging in with SSH, installing Claude Code.
  • Your first page: creating a repository, the first prompt, understanding the files.
  • Design: colours, images, languages.
  • Going live: domain, HTTPS, imprint and privacy policy.
  • Modules: contact form, newsletter, blog, events, shop.
  • Working well with Claude: good prompts, finding errors and getting back in after months.

Take the time given for each lesson and ideally follow along right away. At the end of each lesson click "Mark lesson as done" and the next one opens.

A word about fear of the terminal

Many people flinch at the word "server". That's normal. You'll only type a handful of commands yourself; Claude does the rest and explains in plain language what it's doing. If something goes wrong, just ask. You can't break anything that can't be restored.

Let's go!
